  So Who Are We?

Roger Worthington works for the Forestry Commission as a landscape architect across south England. His job involves designing new woodlands, trails, and opportunities for people to enjoy God's creation. He recently produced a booklet on nature play - If you're interested see click here. He loves cycling, hiking and anything to do with Norway, but is now sick of DIY and useless at gardening.

Ann Worthington provides home-stay accommodation and teaching for language students. She enjoys encouraging and inspiring others to grow in their relationship with God. Her spare time (!!) is taken up by meeting with friends, cooking, jive dancin' and occasionally swimming. If you are from overseas and working in Sidmouth, or the surrounding area, and want to improve your English give Ann a call on 01395 512666; she teaches on Thursday mornings for a suggested donation of £2.

Angie Carney works for the Salvation Army’s divisional headquarters in Exeter as secretary to the Evangelism Department and also helps lead Sidmouth Gospel Choir.  She is great at keeping Living Stones organised and plays guitar for us.

Living Stones are associate members of CTiS; we enjoy joining with and supporting local christian initiatives and are very active in the local community.

Our home meetings usually consist of no more than ten 'regulars' at any one time, 50% of whom are teenagers/young people; although we sometimes have visitors who are holidaying in the area and are curious to see our 'different' interpretation of church.

At Living Stones we want to encourage all to participation and ministry.

Meeting Times

We meet at 7.00pm each Sunday evening apart from the last Sunday of the month (see below). We usually meet at the Worthingtons' home.

As a small home church we are able to be flexible in our arrangements and can accommodate families or help with baby sitting if required.

On the last Sunday of each month we visit Sidmouth Nursing Home at 4pm to sing, talk and pray with the residents.  Afterwards we meet for tea together in one of our homes, often with other friends and guests; if you are interested in visiting us, then this is a good opportunity.

We are like living stones, being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5
